What's the story? Do you have a source to get more?
This one's in pretty nice shape. Dealers have these, but they charge a premium for you to buy them. |

No I don't have a source to buy at face, I just happen to be in the right place at the right time. A teller at a bank sold it too me...
Yes there can be some hefty premiums for these. I sent HA a scan last yr for an online apprasial. I was told wiht this bill depending on market conditions, the retail value would be anywhere from $850- 1150. I guess this bill being from Dallas and having a 4 digit serial number gives it some added premium. |

Nice oober. It's so big, how many times do you have to fold it to fit into your wallet? |

Thats a very nice find. We dont see nearly enough bills on this forum. Are you going to transform it into a pre-33 piece of gold? |

Do not fold it! With no pin hole or creases I would guess $650 maybe higher but I would think $850 is pushing it. |

Never, this bill went into a hard case 10 minutes after I purchased it. |

I have a $500 bill, not as nice as this one, as a pocket piece. It's a nice conversation piece when I take it out to pay for a meal and ask if they have change :)
I paid over "spot" for mine of course :) But it's worth a few laughs! |

I did not know such a bill existed. Learned something new today - thanks. |

$1,000 (US) bills go for at least $1,800 generally if they are in any reasonable condition. I toyed with getting one of those instead of the $500 but the premium made no sense since the impact is the same :) |

I wonder what you would get if you took it to the treasury and asked for "Lawful money". |
