I have a chance to buy 65 1965-69 JFK 1/2 dollars - the 40% silver. The fellow silver horder wanted $175 Cdn for them. What would be a fair offer?
He also has some Morgans that have been graded. A 1898, 2 X 1921 & a 1922 - I know but thats what he says he has . If these Morgans are not in top grade what would be a fair offer?
Does that include todays jump in silver price? What if the price didn't jump? Any input would be appreciated? I usually just get copper from the bank but some silver would be nice to have.
Hi Lemon Thrower & thank you very much for your input.
I closed the deal earlier today. I got a total of 66 1965-69 40 % JFK's for $1.45 each Cdn. Not much wear on them. I went a bit higher on the silver dollars though. $17.50 each I scored a couple of Morgans 1898 & a 1921. The other 2 were both 1923 Peace dollars - a Philly & San Fran mint. These are nice solid pieces of silver with good weight to them. I am so jealous that you Americans can still roll search & actually find silver coins in your banking system. Thats probably where my new JFKs came from.
