I just a little small time hand sorter. Going through these rolls, it is always fascinating to see the varying condition of these pennies. Just pulled a 1996 out of a roll that looks like it just left the mint. Same roll, pulled out a 2009 that looked like its been in dirt and water for years.

I agree.
Most of th 09's I have are BU and shiny. But one was black as coal with something sticky on it. Also I get them back in change alot, so people arent really collecting them. Before I was coin collecter I woud pulled them anyways and kept them because they were new, not drop them in gunk. |
