Beginners luck?

I did not count the wheats, but would guess around 180-200. Most were from the 1950's, I did see a few teens, but not many. |

2 IH's in 1 box, doubly awesome. Congrats. Congrats on all the wheats too.
I think 2 IH's in a single box is a record.

You must not be from Texas. You should immediately go back and buy the rest of the pennies at that credit union.. you have hit a main vein. You should also buy up any nickels, dimes, quarters, halves and big dollars they have on hand. Often older accumulations are turned in together. Maybe the Silver Santa will visit you. |

| Two IHPs makes a small tribe does it not? Congratulations. I have just one chief but no tribe. |
Just my two cents! |

When I found the two IHs, I got several boxes at the same time that "had to be ordered" from my credit union, took about a week to get them. So I wonder where they ordered them from.
I think the dates were 1909 and 1911 if I remember correctly.
I ordered two more boxes today, we will see if my luck holds.
BTW, do you think that being 1/4 registered Cherokee helped???????????????? |

Hi Camtender and welcome. Congrats on excellent finds ... however, if I were you I'd do a careful check of the '1909' Indian! It that date is correct and there is an 'S' on the back of it at the bottom of the penny, most everyone on this forum will .... uhmmm .... let's see, uhmmm....how should I put it .....? Hmmmm .... well, to keep things 'nice', I'll say if you found a 1909 S IHP, everyone on the forum will be happy for you and doubtless offer you super special congratulations
If I were you I would also check your other IHP , but for a different reason ... They didn't make IHP after 1909 far as I know. Be interesting to know what date the other IHP was.
best wishes!

Congrats and Welcome Camtender
How may boxes did you sort before finding them Indian heads?
Took me about $1300 sorted to find one up here in Canada and I figure that was just luck.
Happy Hunting!! |

According to an ad in Stereo Review I read many, many years ago.. On June 25th 1876.. Custer was the first Individual to experience "True Surround Sound!" They say he was wearing an Arrow shirt at the time.
Wow, 2 Indians in one box! That equals my total for entire year of 2009. Congratulations! |
