Well, I figured that it would pass the house. However, I didn't think it would be by a mere 5 votes. I think that the Senate is going to have more difficulty passing this POS since the margin was so slim. We will see...

After months of struggle capped by a final wrenching compromise over not for discussion, Speaker Nancy Pelosi predicted, "we will pass health care reform," and likened the events to the creation of Social Security in 1935 and Medicare 30 years later.
So, is she saying this crap will be a failure as well?

It won't be a failure. It will bankrupt the country exactly as planned, just like the other two programs.
This kind of reminds me of early in Clinton's first term when Democrats used the phrase "stand and deliver" to tell Americans, especially rich ones, to pay their "fair share" of taxes. Then it was brought up that the phrase "stand and deliver" was used by bank robbers before "stick 'em up" became their catchphrase. |

| Looking at the data in the Washington Post (link that Nickelless provided), there were only two Congressmen that did not receive campaign contributions from the health industry. Is it any wonder that these people do not represent their citizens? |

Some group in California is looking at bringing suit against the Gov. if this POS passes on the grounds that there is no Constitutional grounds for the Gubbernment to compel citizens to "buy" anything. Be that health insurance or whatever.
What do each of these characters have in common?
Stalin Hitler Mao Castro
They each led government takeovers of the medical establishment very shortly after taking power.

I love when the dems are always throwing around this point. I watched CSPAN for a great portion of the day and there were at least 20 instances when they compared the passage of this POS to medicare and medicaid and social security. It is funny how often democrats contradict themselves on economic issues. |

Another important point to bring up is that those who received a significant portion contributions voted no for the plan, however there were members who voted for the POS who received large sums of money from the health industry. It makes one wonder... |

I hope that group meets some success. A google search is in order... |
