Poll Question:
I started a poll for Gold, thought I would start one for Silver.

When you buy Silver, do you like to buy the 1oz coins or the 5oz, 10oz or 100oz bars.

Edit...
I forgot to add Junk Silver.

Choices:

1 oz
5 oz
10 oz
100 oz
Silver Quarters/Dimes/Nickels

The largest pieces I've bought so far are 10-oz., but I like all silver.

I'm with daviscfad, I like and want it all.

Live free or die.
Plain and simple.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Most of my silver is in 10oz bars. Its just a nice increment that doesnt take up a lot of space. Next fav is 1oz prospectors.

back to the standard answer; my fav is whatever is the best deal. I dont collect silver "art" anything, unless it can be bought low enough. To me, silver is a financial tool, a vehicle I can trust to convey capital from one time to another. The motivation of the seller makes buying silver even sweeter. I pay spot for nothing. I voted scrap, but admit I like dropping a 100 ozer in a friend's hands and watching reactions.

I assumed that halves were part of the "quarters" et al category & voted that. I can get halves at spot from a nice dealer locally. Though the 1 oz ASE's are also nice esp. when u can get them near spot prices due to being discolored, scratched, etc.

I've been buying eagles lately cuz I have so few in relation to all my junk. All silver is wonderful, shiny is better! Back in July and August I loaded up on BU 90 cuz the premium was only 5% over the junk 90 prices. Go figure.

Hoard now and hold on!

My first purchase with silver was almost a 100OZ bar because I thought it was a way better deal, due to premiums. But, the bar wasn't really recognized and thought when it came to re-sale the Maple Leafs would be a more trusted item.

Here's a little better pic Nickeless. You can read the weight better on this one. One bar doesn't make a hoard. What, you thought I only like copper? You know I like to do everything big.

Kind words from a man that really knows his silver. We know you are slightly biased when it comes to the white metal Country.
