I had about 15 I had bought a couple years ago and got an offer of $18.50 per coin.

Bullion Direct has them for $19.79 in the catalog, with a high bid of $18.69 and a low ask of $19.20 in the Nucleo exchange as of 5:15 today. If you need the money and get cash right now it's not a bad offer.

The BD market maker is willing to buy them at $18.40. APMEX is paying $18.79.

At a mininum I would think 1.25 over spot would be fair. What yr are they? There are lower mintage yrs that carry a premium.

if i was in Canada, i would buy them for the same price as ASE's.

In the U.S., they are a bit less in demand so i would pay about 50 cents less for these than ASE's.

Buying:
Peace/Morgan G+ at $15.00
copper cents at 1.3X
wheat pennies at 3X

I would say 75 cents to $1 over spot is a fair price.

They have a higher content of silver than ASEs and have a fv of $5 (Canadian). ASEs are only have a fv of $1 US, currently the US dollar is almost par w/ the the Canadian dollar, they seem like a bargain. Only a matter of time before people figure that out.

I'm pretty sure they have the same content of silver, both one ounce. Only difference is ASE's have a little bit of copper also. So actually SAE's should be more expensive because it has 1 oz. of silver and a bit of copper.

The ASE IS 99.9, While Maple is 99.99. Basically no difference in silver content per coin. The 'Face Value' of the coin, is simply a joke.

Trolling is an art.

If silver crashes you can still use the coin to buy stuff in a pinch. I'd rather have $5 Canadian then $1 US as my minimum value. I remember when silver was worth close to the $5 face value on a Maple Leaf. They still sold for quite a bit over spot though back then.

If silver ever crashes that far you can always count on me to keep a bid above face.

That offer also stands for anyone who wants to sell their old silver Peace and Morgan dollars just over face!
