Poll Question:
John D. Rockefeller was one of the richest men in the world.
Once, an interviewer asked him, “How much money is enough?”
Rockefeller replied, “Just a little bit more!”
So, how many copper pennies will you consider to be enough?

I would like to have at least $7500 face before the melt ban gets lifted and would probably sell to a smelter at $5/lb or greater. Gotta long way to go though... |

Need categories in that poll that go much higher |
The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; second is war. Both bring a temporary (and false) prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunities. |

John D. Rockefeller was once asked, "How much money is enough?" He said, "One dollar more." So it doesn't matter where you are on the scale, it's so easy to think, "If only my circumstances in life had been better."
Same with hoarding! Once cent more! |

Is this poll for the # of copper cents that are enough to hoard each week?
Sounds like a question I get at home. "More pennies!!! Don't you have enough pennies?!!!"
Just a few tons more. |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

I agree, there are no answers up there high enough to vote unless this is a weekly amount |

I would like to get 3-4 tons before my Rydale gives out. If I get that, I may continue until it dies, or percentages drop below 15%. We will see. |

i have lots of barrels to fill...Hoard said that my half filled barrel is maybe a 1/2 ton so the footprint of four barrels is only 4' x 4' that could easily hold 2 maybe even 4 tons...and I can get a lot of barrels however if I had 4 barrels o pennies and my wife knew that was around 12k $ I think she would buy groceries with it.;-) |

The trick if using barrels is to just lay a solid plank across them and make a really sturdy workbench. A couple of barrels of copper make really stout legs. Once your workbench top is mounted she will never know what's inside. Give her a bunch of zincs to buy groceries with. |

Hoard is right about weight. A barrel of 99.999 copper chops which is a bit denser than pennies would be, weighs 2,300 lbs. Plus the workbench idea is pure genius!! |

Right know while silver and gold are so high, enough will be determined when prices of the other come down. for the moment there to easy and cheap to acculutate when compared to S & G. But I think around the $500-1000 dollar mark will be good for me also looking at nickel right know since everything is so high. |

I'm at about $475 an still sorting. Mostly having fun doing it all. But currently my dump bank can't count $42.50 correctly. LOL Guess i will have to start walking to bank with The typical $18.75 out of A $25.00 box That would help on the waist line also. LOL |

Well it has almost been a year and my barrel o pennies is not full...I guess I need to redo my list. Today on the top of the priority list is finish work early so i can head out to bird hunt for the next three days....Maybe when i get back searching the cents will get to the top. |

$17,000.00 is my goal. That is a long way off.
$17,000 equals just under 6 tons. That is how much my heavy truck will haul to the smelter some day. |

Bird hunting won't fill barrels. |
