today i went to a wherehouse store to see their emergency food storage kit. they only have it online. now being CEWRT TRAINED i now NOTICE things i would really never hadthought about before...like where are your fire extinguishers. are your sprinklers connected? that kind of stuff.
well ai went back to their seasonal toys, etc and was SURPRISED to find that two of their fire extinguishers were blocked by their merchandise!!! i took two pictures as proof. then i asked to speak to the manager.
when he walked to where i was i told him i wanted to show him two pictures i took of his floor. i showed him the two f. e. that were totally blocked. i further told him i was not there to cause anyone any problems, i just wanted the store to avoid any future problems.
he thanked me and said he would correct it as soon as possible. i plan to post the pictures on my fb account with no name of the store attached. and will follow up within a week to a month to give them the benefit of the doubt.

| i'm happy to announce that the werehouse in question, about the two fire extnguishers, has corrected 1 of 2 blocked extinguishers. the one that was partially blocked was rotated to an acdcessible wall. the one completely blocked, remains blocked. |

I can see both sides of the coin on this, and really the only thing I buy from Walmart and Sam's Club is food, especially for long-term storage and especially if it's offseason for a lot of types of produce--I buy and dehydrate a heck of a lot of fruits and veggies. I don't spend a dime at either place on stuff that's not necessary for survival, which is ironic, I know, but I'd rather get as much inexpensive food from those places as I possibly can WHILE I can to help prep for long-term needs than to pay more (except at local farmers markets) at other places and cut into my food budget.
Anyone else on the same page as me with this? |
