10 cents is an ok price. I would aviod them if they are super shiny (replated) or rusty.

What condition are these from the coin shop? We have both decent average circulated with no rust and then nasty ones. We haven't decided yet where to price them, but we will keep the good and bad separated.

My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

I can take my pick at the coin shop for 17 cents each. The ones I sold for 5 cents each were a mix of decent coins and rusty ones.

Around me they are going for $0.25 each and in any condition. Usually they are dumped into a box with what is called a bargain box or junk coins. They are not a great seller in any grade except Uncirculated.
As to the reconditioned or recoated ones. There are some that are plated with Zinc, some with Tin, some with Chrome and some with Copper. I presently have 2,650 Steel Cents and 3 are Copper Plated. Difficult to distinquish a Zinc plated one from the originals though. Tinned ones are the sort of shinny but not to shinny ones but really look plated. I'm trying to accumulate an entire roll of the Chomed ones but those are as tuff to find as the Copper plated ones.
If in a high grade the Copper plated ones go for about $1.
