With silver at a higher price that we have seen for a while. Are you buying more silver, less silver, good deals only or taking a profit?

| Polls locked??? I'm only buying at good deals. I picked up a 1oz Silvertowne bar for $15, and got 21 quarters for 10x last week. These came from a pawn shop of all places! I guess he wasnt up to date on spot prices. |

business-wise: all is normal... buying and selling all the time.
collection-wise: I'm focussing more on numismatic coins, especially silver and copper, all while looking for graded pre-1933 US gold. I voted "looking for deals" box because if I am personally buying bullion or junk coin, then I want the best price possible. But this is not always the case with numismatics. Sometimes you just need that nice coin you saw for $10 over greysheet. Sometimes, I speculate that "in a few years, I'll kick myself for NOT buying at this price"
It's a trade off, too, I guess. If I had $100 to spend, and I could either buy $10 face of junk silver, or a coin that was $110 on the grey sheet, I would probably go with the junk silver. The resale market is bigger for junk, in my opinion

I'm buying when I get a good deal.
I'm into Numismatics more than I have been in awhile. I have been focusing on beautiful high grade and accurately graded Half Cent coppers right now. I've been putting a few of them into a Library of Coins Half Cent album that I bought when I was a teenager in 1960.
As the silver junk price exceeded 11X, I'm done accumulating 40% and 90% as the real dealer price spread between buy and sell has widened too much. I'm still searching bank rolls for fun.
I'm rounding out my hoard with quality rounds and interesting silver as long as I can get a good deal. |

| I checked that I am buying silver, and I am, a little bit at a time. However, if silver gets above 18.50 I will be tempted to part with a 100 oz bar, and then hope a pullback to buy back in. Its all a gamble, except the part where you always keep holding on to something! |

I am buying more off the street with my ads and signs. Buying alot of sterling at 50% and coin at 10x right now. I sell the "collectable" and graded/slabbed items off during market upswings, sinking that cash back into cheap silver weight. Just sold 13 silver eagles on ebay for an average of $29 each. Are people crazy? There is no rarity to something that is so common, I just don't get it.
IMHO when the "feces hits the air circulating device", only the most rare and historically significant coins will be worth more than their weight. When there is not enough food and bullets, a coin's mint mark or condition will not matter much in the barter world. Dismal outlook, I know, but that is where I see things going with the bus drivers we have at the wheel.
I would trade every old large cent, half cent and 2 cent piece I have one for one for a 1 oz silver round. |
