So I have this 70s. I didn't get a clear pic of the date, but the mintmark shows doubling besides Lincolns ear and "liberty" Hopefully my pics are big enough. Thanks.

Here's a true 1970-S CDDO-001:

This coin may be one of the 1970-S DDO-0xx minor varieties.

I have been looking at that site for awhile now. Now when you say flat and not raised, I don't think I quite understand what you mean.

Would coppercoins have more info to define what your saying?

It would be a good forum to get on for info b.c Chuck is really knowledgeable about die variety's. When i say flat not raised Check out this 1995 doubled die You must be logged in to see this link. The letters are raised like the design not flat "like when you have machine doubling." You see how on your the outline of the T is flat looking? I mean i know on the 95 the doubling is up and down where yours is side to side but check the letters out closely. Its hard for me to explain but you will eventually get it after looking at a whole bunch. let me know if i can elaborate on something else

As already noted best to go to You must be logged in to see this link. for anything dealing with Lincoln Cents. If you purchase one of his books, in the front there are many pages explaining all the different types of doubling. If you join that web site they will also explain anything dealing with Lincoln Cents.
