Look for your neighborhood bank to raise your own bank fees even further to compensate them for FDIC.

Great article. 95 banks down so far, hundreds to come. Glad I stopped the bank failure contest-it could have made me broke.

when i saw this story this morning on BNN, my jaw dropped. If it were my bank, I'd say "sorry customers, we are no longer FDIC insured anymore, but they are insolvent anyway, so who cares."
Then I'd say, "Screw you, FDIC"

metal is a claim on future human labour. let's all go get some while the getting is good, eh?

i don't know if that is even legal.

this will hurt the banks that are at the edge of failing.

for customers, it means banks will pay less interest on deposits.

means large banks can buy up medium banks on the cheap because the deposits are now less valuable. deposits traditionally are seen as a low cost, stable source of funds but the cost has now increased.

Buying:
Peace/Morgan G+ at $15.00
copper cents at 1.3X
wheat pennies at 3X

Lemon If the banks pay any more less interest on deposits, we may be heading for 0% :)
