Sorry guys, I bought some 90% the other day, that is why the price is taking a dive.

I think Gold is racing silver down the hill.

When the government treasury auctions are over, the prices should rebound. People are also getting out of stocks. When they do this, their flight to safety has historically been to buy dollars. Dollar up, commodities down.

But if you want to take the blame then I'll shake my fist in your direction

It's worse than it looks for 90% silver. The spread on the BD Nucleo exchange between the Market Maker BID and ASK that was about $500 on a $1000 bag that recently widened to $1100. It is currently $10600 and $11700. They are only willing to pay 10.6X face (spot -7% or $1.16 less than spot) !

The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life.

Hi there-

Whenever precious metals fall, I read some depressing(but true) economic news articles. Then I'm happy again. Figure that one out. 8x

wags

Only when they CAN'T have it, ......THEN they'll want it.

I love Cents. If you get an UNC box, you win. If you get a regular circ. box, you win. If you get a zinc box, you don't lose....so you still win.

I think you people are all too anxious. A great outcome would be for gold to base at 1,000 and silver to base at 16 for a long time. There are so many things sick about our economy, there is still unwinding to be done, and still deflationary forces at work. The currency devaluation will play out over the next several years. Gold is probably going over 2,000, but not this year. You are very smart to be putting away gold, silver, and any other real asset not completely tied to dollars. I wish I had more, and had started sooner. But paper money will do just fine for 2009, and 2010, and a while after that. I wouldn't advise unloading any of the precious metals in the next 2 years, no matter what the price does.
