I just saw an auction on Ebay for the sale of 2000 Lbs of American copper pennies. (wow!)

Is it legal to sell hordes of Canadian Nickels to Americans?

    yea far as i know it is. at least i hope so because ive bought some groups of nickels out of canada in the past :)

    now america to canada is a different story...

    It is illegal to melt Canadian nickels, in Canada, but there is currently no law against exporting.

    In the US, there is currently a law forbidding the export of $5 + of nickels or pennies.

    You can carry out $5 from the U.S. But an individual can ship $100.

    I want to take all the copper from the US and all the nickel from Canada and put it in the ocean and build my very own island from it!!
