You know then end is upon us when the gov't tells us exactly what to spend our post tax income on.
Isn't that prohibited by the 13th amendment? |

If you are a young man or woman, you would definitely see it as a tax liability. You don't need health insurance, yet you have to pay for it. However, if currently you don't have or can't get health insurance or your health insurance is poor, you view this as help long needed. In a way, it's sort of like Social Security. If you hate that, you'll hate a health insurance mandate.
The focus should have been reducing health costs for everyone. With the insurance lobbies spending like drunken sailors, I don't see much progress reducing health care costs in any bill that Congress approves.  |

That was your opportunity to voice a different opinion. Why wouldn't it be acceptable to engage your teachers with facts that you know? Challenge your teachers and co-students to thinking through the issues. Isn't that possible anymore in school? |
