I wouldn't have said it quite like that, but more or less true RAINSONME.... except that the seeds of inflation have been sown for more than just the past few months.
Some can speculate that based on Gold Standard values(of times not so long ago), the current value of Gold is somewhere near $2000 an ounce and silver near $50. But the latest seeds of inflation and debasement of the fiat currency, could push these two metals closer to $5000 and $200 an ounce respectively. |

| Way off topic now, but the things the Fed and government have done in the past 12 months so far eclipse the prior fiat debasements, that I think we are in totally unchartered territory. There were Basil accords, and Brentwood agreements that might have held the fiat currencies together in a slow atrophy, but to survive the current collapse, all those have been rent asunder. Fed buying treasuries, creating money with no corresponding treasury, gov indemnifying institutions that could require trillions (60 trillion or more) ------- this really is a very new landscape. I confess I am excited to see gold and silver moving out of their long base patterns, but the really exciting times for PM's are somewhere beyond 2009, possibly as far as 5 years out. |

| uh, I think I meant Bretton Woods. Anyway, I would recall my prior post if I could. (can I?) Nothing of value to offer, other than personally I am looking for a longer term move in PM's beyond any spike we might see in 2009 or 2010. Wolvesdad offers some tantalizing numbers. |

just dumped a crapload of 40% halves at ~ 4.4X on bullion direct (check the 90 day chart).
At the same time ordered a load of the 10toz kooks on gainesville for $162 each.
FINALLY getting a good chance to trade up in purity makes me a happy man. |

They were running a special. The price right now still isn't too bad, $183 if you bank wire payment to them. But the price earlier was unbeatable. |

I like BD too. Did you take advantage of their shipping package that has free insurance? |

IIRC, it was you that mentioned that I should use BD to sell. Thanks!
I didn't use their shipping package. I shipped usps flat-rate box, registered for $25 or something. Forget how much their package would have cost, but it was quite a bit more. The box was pretty heavy, like 40 pounds or something. I'm glad to have gotten rid of them, as 40% halves are a lot of bulk.
How's your prospecting doing? I'm pretty sure you have quite the stack by now :) |

Last year I bought a Silver Philharmonic from Gainesville Coins and it was probably that purchase that caused silver to drop like a rock.
But, I was very pleased with their service and the product I received.
