I bought silver quarters Saturday at the coin store 9.8x face value.
Seems premiums have went down; how much would you guys pay x face value.
I thought I was getting a decent deal.

I think you got a good deal, especially for a coin store.
I like to buy 90% for less than 10X. 10.5X is my limit, and that is only for very nice 90%.
I like to buy 40% for less than 4X. |

Thanks I was thinking it was a good deal.
I think its definitely worth establishing a good relationship with a local coin dealer.
He often cuts me deals because he knows I'm a good repeat customer.

| I'll buy 90% below melt all day long if I can find it....here in my town, I've got one shop owner who will sell right at melt when he has it...everyone is usually a little higher...example: it's about 11 x face here right now...better than in some of the neighboring cities, though |

| I usually buy on E Bay and I try to keep it as close to 10.5 X face as possible, but over the past 10 days or so its been getting increasingly difficult. In fact the pickings there have been a little slim lately. I have a source at the local flea market who used to sell at 10 X face but recently he's moved up to 11. |
