Just wondering is there a site where I can find FMV on OBW rolls? This would be for mainly Wheats and Memorials.
On a whim I bought a few OBW 58ds for about $13 ea. I did open one and WOW they were blazing... Now I'm hooked!!!

I have a pet peeve regarding Original Bank Wraps (OBW)
Mainly, very few banks actually wrap or wrapped coins, it is/was done by the armored car carriers.
Secondly, if you have your own coin wrapper, you can create OBW all day long. (Or a case of older "Shotgun" style wrappers and a crimping machine).
OK, I do understand that you can tell a lot of older wraps by sight, just sayin' if you really want to create wraps that look OBW it is not that difficult.
I guess I'm trying to say Caveat Emptor when it comes to OBW, kinda like "unsearched" bags of wheats. |

For $13 per roll TAKE THE CHANCE!
You will not find them that cheap very often. $30 to $50 per roll, even for common dates is not unusual.
Each coin is generally worth 50 cents to $5 so paying under $30 is a great deal! |

$13.00 is cheap to me considering how they look, and the fact they will stay within the family. I have no time frame to sell items like this.
Even BU common coppers long term should steadily increase in value

| Like oober said, be careful, but also think about the price for the rolls. You could always look around for 13 bucks and find a better selection... The 1958d has nothing special about it. |

I used to heavily collect OBW rolls and had every date from 1936 to date at one point. A good reference for Bu roll pricing would be the greysheet 3A. They have all wheat and memorial bu roll buy and ask prices on there. OBW rolls though, will normally carry a premium over these values depending on what year/mint it is. 13.00 for a 1958-d is a fairly decent price. I could regularly pick these up for around 8-9.00 each when I was collection. If I were buying, I would offer 7.50 for them. Don't get too carried away paying too much for them, as there are lots of 1958's out there to be had. Send me a pm if you want any more info on these, I would be glad to help.
