| There's plenty of other banks. Take your business and accounts elsewhere and the new bank will welcome you as their new customer. |

| Chase has always been the lease cooperative with me. They have never charged me a fee, but I have gone to many, many Chase banks on a drive by and left empty handed. It is also very hard to get them to order for me. |

| Have found Chase to be the most willing to leave a standing order of 24 boxes/week. This has gone on for 9 months without a hitch. Always courteous and pleasant to deal with. |

You will continue to see banks start to charge more for things. When you are the biggest game in town, you can charge what you want.
Chase has my mortgage and I really don't like them. I got a letter from them saying my homeowners insurance is inadequete and that I need to get it resolved or else. I called my insurance agent and they corresponded back and forth to Chase. My agent did a re-evaluation of my homeowners and found I was overinsured. Now I have to go back to Chase ad figure out what the issue is. I have a very good interest rate, have never been late, and I think Chase may want me to go somewhere else or they will call my loan into default. I didn't choose Chase, they bought my mortgage from someone else. |

Try another branch that pays a flat rate from their supplier for unlimited coin. Some branches pay by the box. |

| I've never bought coin from them but they've been slow as hell on transactions/check cashing. As usual - 1 teller to a line of 6 people. I prefer the smaller banks around here. National City has been awesome ordering as many penny boxes as I want. They always have 3 to 4 tellers at my branch and never more than 1 person in front of me. Rare these days. Of course branch to branch may vary greatly for any bank. time to get on the phone and ask for manager or vault teller at your local banks. |

Definitely move on. It's pretty annoying but there is always another bank that will work with you. Kind words, a friendly attitude and desire to please is usually enough for most bank tellers and staff. Once you get to know them, you'll know who is willing to help and who wants nothing to do with you. And hopefully you don't have to deal much with the ones that aren't pleasant.

We will see more and more problems with banks. They are all trying to squeeze what they can out of all their customers. I just heard that BofA is going to start charging monthly bank fees on most of the accounts and that they are jacking up the rate significantly on their safety deposit boxes. I haven't had much more problems with Chase than any of the other banks. I actually opened a new business account with them on Monday so they could gift me an extra $100 (4 boxes of pennies.) Both the branch near home and the one near work call me when there is CWR to pick up. I regularly get $100 of CWR from the branch near work. They also occasionally order me a few boxes of pennies and save any half dollars or BU quarter rolls that come in for me. I use the Chase near home as a dump bank. No mention of the "F" word yet. They are open till 4 on Saturday now.. very convenient.
Tourney, I got the same notice about underinsurance from Chase. It was a system generated notice that got triggered when the amount of insurance on your primary residence declined by a certain percentage from one year to the next. Seems the geniuses at Chase forgot to factor in the decline in market value of all the homes they hold the paper on it. Just call the # on the notice. I cleared it up in 5 minutes. |

| I called them today and they said the letter was in error due to a software conversion. Spent 15 minutes on the phone getting it resolved. They said there is no problem, however will not send me a letter saying it was resolved. I would just have to trust them. If they come back and say I am in default, they can say they didn't get any response back from a letter they sent. I have nothing except my phone records to prove otherwise. This is just not right. |

Sounds like they were CHASEing you out of their bank with their fees...go across the street and get pennies from another bank. |

I don't have an account at Chase, but I have done drive byes on plenty of occasions, and never had a problem. Only one branch has ever even asked if I had an account. They didn't care when I told them no and sold me pennies anyways.
I wonder if this is a regional thing or a sign of things to come with them. In my parts, Comerica is the only brand that are sticklers about having an account, and the only brand to utter that "F" word.

I have a Comerica account too. They used to order me 12 boxes of pennies and 2 boxes of nickels every week before I opened an account there. They talked me into opening an account since they were giving me so much action. After I opened the account, they got fussy about me not giving them enough of my banking action and ended up cutting me off. Management has changed a few times and they occasionally talk about getting me pennies again, but I haven't seen any yet. I used to like this bank alot because they were always the first one of my banks to get the "new" pennies in stock. Funny thing.. when you consider that I am responsible for 3 seven figure corporate accounts at that bank, you would think they might treat me better.. lol. I still stop by once a month and deposit a few rolls of pennies before going across the street to Bank of the West for my regular monthly pickup of several $hundred in CWR.
Tourney.. not a problem.. the letter was not sent certified.. you never got it. |

I think the $100 deal was a 1 day special. This week you have to open an account at Bank of the West to get a $100 bonus. |
