Are scrap prices increasing in your area? For me, this is the second month in a row of fairly substantial scrap steel increases, up $120/ton between June and August. The scrap that I buy is a fairly specialized product; washed & dried 1010 or 1055 punchings. It is most closely indexed to #1 Busheling (Chicago or Detroit markets).

They show my sell prices over the past two years or so. #1 copper low of $1.00 per pound, and highs of over $2.50 I think. On the way up, but I haven't been in a month or so.

Live free or die. Plain and simple.
"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams |
