Hi folks:

Does anyone know much about the English one- and two-shilling coins? I think they are cupronickel but am not positive (they are not magnetic anyway). Also, how do you put these in a hoardcode?

Great Britan Shilling coin

1937-1946 composition .50 silver, weight .0909 oz silver
1947-1970 cupro-nickel

Great Britian 2 shillings AKA Florin

1937-1947 composition .50 silver, weight .1818 oz silver
1948-1970 cupro-nickel
I think the reason the two shilling coin was called a Florin was because of the flower design on the back.

I should have chosen "Cut-n-Paste" as a forum name, since that is what I do, mostly.

Change that to read:

2 Shilling:
Pre-1946: UK24Ag(insert number of coins here)
Post 1947) UK24CuNi(insert number of coins here)

1947 was the changeover for the 2 shilling/florin. key in error on my part.
Sorry about that.
