Hey everyone. I listed some wheats in the buy it now area, however I honestly need some help on a fair price to put on them. All are listed with the grades Penny Bullion gave them when I bought them from him.
I've got another 1000 or so teens I'd like to trade/sell that need to be graded.
Any help on what I've listed would be super appreciated. I'm not looking to get top dollar, just give someone a good deal and at the same time fair on my end.
Thanks in advance. Feel free to PM me.
Joe

Try this: Numismedia Fair Market Value. I've used this online guide to sell coins. I quote a value a little less than the fair market value to give the buyer a really fair price.

I'm going through that site and will take whatever they have for a price and charge half. Does that sound fair?? |

That should bring in the buyers! I suggest showing a link to the website so buyers will know you are giving them a great deal. |

I'm not sure if you have a time period that you want to use for those coins but if I were you I'd spend a little time making sure that your not getting rid of something worth a lot for a little. What I mean is you should take the time to know what you have. If your not familiar with all the possible errors in those pennies (cents) you may want to check out You must be logged in to see this link. Also, there is a site called The Lincoln Cent Resourse. There is always the possibility you may have some coins worth more than you think. |

^^^ Great post Carl. It's time consuming, but it's fun to search through for varities, semi-key and key dates. I'm not sure what the market is for these varities, but there are people who collect them and actively look for them. So you may have a common wheat cent that you think is worth four to ten cents, but turn out to be worth $10, $25, $50 or even more. |

That same person that has that site on You must be logged in to see this link. also has 2 books out on just Lincoln Cents. They are sold at most coin shows, coin stores and on that web site. I have both of them and find it so much easier to just flip to pages for a 70S Cent than spending time on any web site. Of course that's due to being old and not really a great computer person I guess. One nice thing about those books is in the beginning it explains all the processes to make coins and how the different types of errors and varieties are made. |

Is that book written by Charles Daughtry (I think that's the name I have seen on another forum). If it's the same guy, his explanation is quite detailed and easy to understand even for non collectors. The guy definitely knows his stuff. |
