Do you save the 1970 S nickel? I see tons of those.

I save the 63 and before,they changed the nickel slot machines You could find quiet a few. Now I just search rolls.

Hey guys! Earlier in the thread people mention saving the U.S. "buffalo" nickles - the new ones, and the westward nickles. Were they minted in low enough numbers to hopefully have numismatic value some day or is it for some other reason? Thanks.

Odd question BUT.... anyone go to a casino with nickel slot machines?? IF you were to win anything could you request payment in nickels?? I bet people dump valuable nickels there ALL the time and have no clue. Just a thought if you happen to go to a casino and win.

All of the casinos on the Gulf coast have gone to paper in-paper out machines. Slots pay you with paper tickets now, but before they did I was able to rack up on wartime nickels, pre-60 nickels, and silver halves. It was awesome! If you can find a casino that still pays out and accepts coins, go just for the hunting. They make a great dump site also! I used they for years.
