I forgot to mention all the halfs except for two looked brand new day of minting. the lower right 1969D looked like a Proof. very very clean and well struck. I will be keeping most of these because they are in almost perfect shape.

Report on dimes searched:

$125.00 -- 25 CWRs

Silver dimes found - one -- 1/1960
2009 dimes found - none
Other found - 1/2002 US Penny; 1/1997 US Penny (found in separate rolls that were shorted because of this)

Other stats: Zero rolls over, Four rolls shorted by 10 cents each (one of these rolls had a penny in place of one dime so I am now using your method, Country, for figuring the overage/shortage), One roll shorted by twenty cents (this roll also contained one penny mentioned above)

Overage/shortage total: Shorted 60 cents

Enjoy your coin searches, everyone.

cecropia_moth.......wow, you're lucky that your banks were open on President's Day. Down here in Florida, all banks close on Federal Holidays. No banks, no mail, and some other governmental agencies closing as well.

PTP -

Chase, US Bank and Associated Bank were all open here in SE Wisconsin. Two local state banks (they have branches just in my county) were also open.

I thought they would all be closed too. But small talking a teller a few weeks ago I found out their bank was open on Martin Luther King Day...that was what led my to do some driving around on President's Day. I'm happy I did as I found that beautiful 1964-D JFK Half Dollar in a teller's tray!!! It doesn't take much to make me happy these days.

Went on a walk-by for CWR Pennies and spotted a glint in the Tellers tray today.

$4.50 from the tray:

3 '67
1 '68

I got so excited I went out and plunked an FRN down on the Lotto!
I hope the Pennies sort out heavy on the Cu, I hope this luck carries over to the 2 boxes of Halves I'm getting on Monday.

There's profit if you melt things!!

Look to the first post of this thread to get the SILVER stats details. Always look to the line just before the Kitco quotes to see the last post that was included in the latest update.

I got a "box" of $500 BWR's today. My boxes are actually heavy clear plastic bags. I spotted a 1964 on the end of one of the rolls, so I opened it first. That roll produced 4 1964's! :-)

Results
(6) 1964
(16) 40%

Bought myself a McChicken at McDonalds, saw two halves in the till when the cashier was getting my change. Asked if I could get them as part of my change.

1967 and 1968-D. I pretty much paid for my McChicken 4 fold.
