Well, after wanting one for awhile, I finally won a silver Balboa. It's a 1931 and looks in decent shape. Kind of strange as my wife brought home a quarter balboa for me she got in change. It was a newer dat, so not silver, but still cool.

Are you throwing that out?

One of the greatest coin designs ever. I love 'em.

It hasn't arrived yet, but I'll try to get one up when it does. My last attempt was not that great, but maybe I can talk my wife into using the big camera!

Are you throwing that out?

The Panamanian silver 1 Balboa dated 1931 is the same size as the American Peace $1,& the same fineness - .900 fine silver.

The Balboa has always been worth the same as the American Dollar - 1:1.

The American Dollar is legal tender in Panama,& I think American coins circulate along with the Panamanian coins.
