A couple of months ago I posted about buying $1400 in bagged nickels. I have now sorted the second of 7 bags. The other night I found a nickel that was very well worn. The date was half worn off, but readable 1944. My first war nickel.
Congratulations. I like searching nickels for war nicks. My average would be just a little less than 1 war nickel per box searched. Probably on the range of .8 per box.
"Rich," the Old Man said dreamily, "is not baying after what you can't have. Rich is having the time to do what you want to do. Rich is a little whiskey to drink and some food to eat and a roof over your head and a fish pole and a boat and a gun and a dollar for a box of shells. Rich is not owing any money to anybody, and not spending what you haven't got." Robert Ruark

I love the war nickels. I have found that either you love them or hate them.

I'm so sick over pennies....I frequently trade a dime or two for the whole "take-a-penny" container if sufficient coppers exist. That will get you some odd looks.
