In a small collection I bought today. It's for 1964 uncirculated silver halves being offered by Omaha Coins and a promotion with Tidy House. Here is a direct quote in bold from the flyer:
"We need not remind you what has happened to silver in the past year. The commodity price has jumped from $1.29 per ounce last summer to as high as $2.78 at one point. That's more than double and most experts predict $5.00 per ounce within the next two years."
At the bottom are the choices: A) 10 uncirculated halves for $10.95 B) 50 uncirculated halves for $51.95 C) 100 uncirculated halves for $99.45
These prices already include shipping. Wow...I will need to do some research to find out when this was being offered (presumably 1964-1965) based on the silver spot prices. I thought this was an interesting find.
Lol none that I see. There is a mention of a silver dollar promotion that they ran the year before and had to turn away offers because people sent them in after the supply had run out for the promotion. I cant find anything for Omaha Coins so I am guessing they are long gone. I did find an EBay listing that had the silver dollar promotion though with the original cardboard holder the dollar was sent in.
