I have some scrap copper as well as .925 silver I'd love to have cast into small 1oz bars. I have seen on eBay small ingot molds for sale. Does anyone on the board do this? If so, how much would you charge to melt and cast the bars?

| Do you have an oxyacetylene torch with a rosebud tip? Then you're almost set! I'd just make round "buttons" and then hammer them. It's a waste of time to screw around with molds for tiny stuff like that. one ounce ingots are not cast, but struck on presses. |

| Unfortunately or fortunately I don't have a torch. I am dangerous with a screwdriver so a torch is out of the question! |

| Heh, then you probably wouldn't benefit from my links on how to build a waste oil burner that will get up copper-melting temps... :) |
Nothing of value is an investment unless you possess it. If all you've got are paper, pixels, or promises, you're gambling. |

| Go to artmetal.com and read the posts whining about the difficulties in casting copper. |
A penny sorted is a penny earned!
Please use tinyurl.com to post links. Long links make posts hard to read. |
