Hello,

I just started getting into hoarding coins. What is the best way to acquire the pennies for sorting? I assume the bank. Can one order and or purchase in bulk from the bank or other vendors?

I stopped by the bank and asked for $25.00 in pennies and it seemed difficult for them to round up that many.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

There are numerous old topics on all your questions, try and look for them.... You can order in advance at most banks.

I'm so sick over pennies....I frequently trade a dime or two for the whole "take-a-penny" container if sufficient coppers exist. That will get you some odd looks.

Most banks order coin at least once a week. Go the the bank you have an account with and tell them how much you want and ask when you can pick it up.

some banks have a teller window labeled 'commercial' specifically for customers who pick up large quantities of coins for their businesses. you can just walk up to that window and ask. but go to a bank where they wont recognize you...
