New here, wanted to post my buffalo findings.
First ones I have found out of about 20 boxes in the past month and a half.
1927 1927S
Both pretty worn, but didnt have to nic-a-date to see their dates. |

Got me a hide yesterday. Not much fur on him.. he was a dateless. |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.
Let me see if I understand this? If you cross the North Korean border illegally, you get 12 years hard labor; the Iranian border illegally you are detained indefinitely. If you cross the US border illegally, you get a driver’s license, a social security card, welfare, food stamps, free health care!

This is the big one. A barely readable 1918, but it's number 40. A whole roll this year. |

| I have found 3 that I can remember. I work at a liquor store so I find all kinds of neat coinage. |
I am an organized coin collector. |

| I found a '28 in an old dresser I have had since I was a kid. I was breaking it apart to take to the dump and found it at the very bottom. That makes a total of 4 buffalo's I now have. |

| 1 box- 9 buffaloes!!!...2x1928, 1x1929, 1 exceptional high grade 36S, and 4 dateless. |
The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; second is war. Both bring a temporary (and false) prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunities. |

Bought a box on a whim, to search through with my 6-year-old daughter. I was hoping to find a few silver nickels. Here's what I got:
1 dateless buffalo - worth a few cents. 1 new 6-year-old coin collector - priceless!

Corralled 22 of them and added them to the herd yesterday. 16 with readable dates including a '24-S.

Share the good stuff, everyone. Send some of it my way in rolls.
Haven't had anything decent in nickels in quite some time, except that one 2009 and the couple of Buffalo nickels but that has been quite some time now. Long cold streak of nothing interesting. But with each new roll I open, I can always hope.
Enjoy. |
