Found a 1935 buffalo in very good shape today. It was totally unexpected on my part. No silver in this box, but a wild buffalo is a lot nicer. Sort of bizarre is the fact that I got the box it came out of from another branch of the bank that I got a decent number of buffaloes last spring/summer. This was my first time at this particular branch and it was not close at all to the branch I got a bunch of buffaloes at. I have another branch of this bank about a mile from me. Next week I may just ask them to order me a regular weekly box to sort.

Went buffalo hunting today, but all I bagged was a skunk.

Corralled 2 more. A barely readable '26 or '28. Not enough of the date left to tell for sure. And a skanky nasty pitted filthy corroded dateless. I'm seriously thinking about letting it back into the wild. I don't want that sickly thing anywhere near my herd...

I decided to try looking for Canadian nickel since I'm from Michigan. I went to the local bank and could only pick up $40 worth cause I had just picked up my supply of pennies. I ran all my nickels through the Ryedale and only got 2 canadians, but this odd nickel fell into the reject bucket that I couldn't resist looking at. 1936 Buffalo in really good condition. Never thought I'd find one of them and not quite so fast. I'm still doing the indian dance, but can't find any indian head pennies, but the buffalo show up.

When my wife got after me it sounded like "Blah,Blah,Blah", but now it sounds like "Clink,Clink,Clink". Its amazing what that Ryedale can do for a hounded husband.

Ran some Canadians yesterday and found a buffalo!

1 1936 full date, but a really nice 1922 Canadian was retrieved from the wild too.

How many nickels do you guys go through per week? Do you hand sort, or is there a machine out there for those too?

Am I a good person doing bad things? Or a bad person doing good things?

I do $300-$400 per week by hand. About an hour ad a half for a box of nickels.

What dates do you save? I usually save up to '58.

Corralled another dateless tonight. This one has an S mint mark.

Lately I have been averaging 2-3 boxes a night. I only save war nicks, buffalos and Ni Canadians. Also anything that is an upgrade for my Whitman folders. Just need a '50D to have a complete Jefferson set.

Found one last night. No date readable w/ exception of very faint 192X possibly. I found plenty of '38's and 39's and a '50 and '51 but no mint-marks on any of them. Still looking for the 2009 dates to appear any day now.
