20-30 halves with "D" in black sharpie on face. Lots of "dirty" coins.
My bank uses loomis, I happend to be there as they were finishing the delivery. |

Searched part of the 5 boxes of halves I got today.
Searched $1500.00 today.
Results
Box 1 74 40%..........yes 74 40%
Box 2 84 40%..........yes 84 40%
Box 3.........SKUNK..............
Total of 158 40%....That is a good day.
I will report the other 2 boxes tomorrow |

tonight; 2 boxes of brinks...$16.5 in 40% pretty fair, not as fair as slickeast's boxes, wow, home run! Congrats!
Last friday's 2 box of brinks...1-2001p.... silver; "el-skunko"..doing around 4 boxes/ week avg. |

Weekly $500 box yesterday. 2 40%'s, none of anything else. Could have been worse.
congrats on the great boxes slick. Those 2 boxes probably contained more than I found all last year. |

I just went through the last 2 boxes
$1000 Halves Searched
Box 4......SKUNK
Box 5......1 1978-s Proof (that has lost a few fights)
I wonder how I can get 5 boxes...4 from the same bank & 2 of them were just full of silver.(SEE ABOVE)
One roll had 6 silver halves in it and finding less than 3 was getting depressing while I was opening the rolls.
So my totals for $2500 Searched...Please note the post above when TOTALING this months finds.

| slick, did your boxes have a pack date stamped on the bottom? I notice that whenever I get CWI boxes they all have pack dates. I'd be willing to bet the dates on those 2 good boxes were the same if not very close. It's also possible they're much older than the other 3. Maybe they were packed in the mid-late 90s when nobody cared about silver, and the banks/coin processors just now found them lying in the vaults? |

No dates on any of the boxes. You have to take the good with the bad...and those two where VERY good. The bank is new and they order every week. Maybe I am ordering enough that they are having to dig down on the stack to get what I need.

| yesterday , 3/11, 2 boxes brinks, 3-40%, 1-2001P to sell. A new bank agreed to order halves if I agree to pay up front and wait a week...jeesh, I can turn that thou a couple of times in a week, but it is a new supplier (Dunbar) other than Brinks or Loomis. |

Can i have all your halves i asked the teller. Why are you a coin collector? Nope Well i only have 40 dollars worth and there is no silver in them. I said doesnt matter i like spending them! Got home and pulled a 1968d 40% er out and said no silver eh

I think the halves total is off by 3. I think it should be 375 40% not 372 40%
Can someone go back to when the total was 64 40% and redo the math? |
