I'm curious as to the going rate for silver eagles. I've seen prices all over the board. Is that normal from various dealers?

Bulk rate retail price is around $5.00 over spot ($16.59 each). Bulk dealer buy price is around $3.50 over spot. So the buy/sell spread is about $1.50.

Small quantity prices are probably all over the map as usual, but you can use the above as a guideline.

So you guys would do this deal:

$3000 face copper at 1.7X for 330 eagles at 16.24

I think I'm about to do this...

I just got back from the shop, and the guy there (the owner was out) would only let the spotted/poorly-toned ASEs go at $15 in bulk. I wanted the shiny ones (of course) and ended up paying $20! per 2008 BU+++ ASE. He only had 10!!!

To pennybullion: Absolutely I would do that copper for silver deal

The only place I know of that has ASEs is a small local bank near me that wants $38.68 EACH for its 2007 and 2008 ASEs. I do not know if those are proofs or uncirculated. I will be going by there and picking up pennies next week and can ask but frankly that price is way too high for me
