Who has found the most Indian heads this year? I thought that it would be neat to track how many indian heads every one has found this year and to determine who is the Indian head Chief.
Total indians found off of the reservation for the year so far: 145

I'm small potatoes, I've only found 6 this year.

I think HoardCopperByTheTon "claims" an outrageous amount like 12 or 13 this year....
Deal |
I'm so sick over pennies....I frequently trade a dime or two for the whole "take-a-penny" container if sufficient coppers exist. That will get you some odd looks. |

I have 12 so far this year. TXTim found 3 in the last 2 weeks, so he is the new chief with 13! |

| I've only found one so far, but being the idiot that I am, I'd been staring at the copper pile rather than the zinc pile until this past week. I'm sorting like crazy to break out of my junior-member status in the Indian Head club. |

| A big fat Zero. I do not believe anyone has claimed to find a wild indian in Canada. They all live on reservations here I guess. |

I don't think they call them reservations in Canada.. I think they are called Preserves, or something like that. |

| To be honest I really haven't kept track. A couple weeks ago I found 4 in one bag. And I found a few before that so I would say I have found around 10 so far this year. |

What about military reservists who have reservations to hunt in wildlife reserves? |

This thread inspired me to sort through my "special" penny pile. The results were 22 Indians and 3 1909 VBDs, but I am not sure exactly how many are from this year. I would guess that at least half of them are from 2008 and probably it is more like 2/3.
The stuff that I found this year came mostly from the zinc pile and I highly suspect that there is still lots of good pennies waiting to be pulled out my single, machine-sorted, copper pile. The last time that I tuned the machine, I had about 50% of the Indians and old wheats going into the zincs and 50% going into the coppers.
With some luck I might get a whole roll of wild Indians before my hoard is complete... |

I dug around a little and found an old post confirming that I had 7 Indians at the end of 2007. So that is 15 found this year!

Now this is getting good. When I started the indian head thread, it seemed like Hoard was going to be the perpetual chief. Now we have at least three viable canidates: Hoard, TXTIM and Horgrad.
Could we set up some other levels of the indian head hierarchy?

TenBears,
Setting all of the back and forth jabs aside, I feel for you that you have not yet found your first indian. That said, I appreciate your humor. You literally make me LOL |
