I was at the flea market yesterday and one guy had 6 rolls of wheat pennies. He wanted $5 each and I passed. Now that I've had time to think about it, I think I should of offered $4 - he probably would of took it. I tried to get an idea of what the going rate was by looking on Ebay, but the prices were all over the place. On a side note, one other dealer had a display case full of loose walking liberty half dollars. He wanted $9 each. I passed on these also since the melt value is only like $5.30.

Chances are they were common dates just like all the other "UNSEARCHED" wheats on Ebay. You should be able to get common date rolls for $2.00 to $2.50 per roll.

i think fair market price would have been closer to $1.50-$2.00/roll, maybe $10 for the lot... you were right to pass on by.
