This came out of a cordless phone I took apart today.
I was mostly after the little magnet inside the speaker but I thought I would ask if there is anything on the circuit board that was exciting.
My guess is no, but then again Im learning.

| Save 'em up and sell them on eBay. I saved up about 40 pounds of boards from old computers, printers, phones, etc. and sold them as a lot for over $100 (there were a lot of older boards with gold plated pins and I took lots of detailed pictures). I'm filling up another box and will auction it when I get a decent amount. |

Nate, I'm curious. Do you get $1 a pound or more? What category would you use? |

I used Business & Industrial > Manufacturing & Metalworking > Metals & Alloys (and I thought the category went one layer deeper to the type of metal but it doesn't seem to anymore). The winning bid worked out to about $2.85 a pound.
Keep in mind, I had a lot of older boards with lots of gold-plated pins and I included over 50 photos in the auction (thumbnails of course with the option to click to enlarge).
Actually, I had the description saved in TurboLister. Here it is for anyone interested: http://www.sushob.com/copper/scrapboards.html |

| Populated Computer Boards is worth $1.50 a pound in PA. The cordless phone board above would fit that category. natsb88 - The reason your lot went so high was because of the processors and ic chips. Ic chips and memory go for $5.00 a pound, but processors go for $18.00 to $80.00 a pound depending on the gold content. |

| This is great info. I spent some time this weekend clearing out a space and building shelves to organize my scrapping efforts. I can't wait until the space is complete so I start scrapping in earnest... |
