Even making allowances for Flat Rate shipping at $9.30, this guy is netting less than $5 on a $50 bag of coppers:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360075615832&_trksid=p3907.m32&_trkparms=tab%3DWatching

Looking at this member's feedback score, it looks like NDFarmer won a bag of coppers from this guy back in May.

Why hyperinflation is inevitable...and very soon:

It is someone here. Not me though.

Deal

I'm so sick over pennies....I frequently trade a dime or two for the whole "take-a-penny" container if sufficient coppers exist. That will get you some odd looks.

Yeah, I saw that one... I think his mistake was not taking paypal- it's amazing how that diminishes the number of bidders you have.

I didn't accept PayPal at first either. When I finally gave in, I saw a significant increase in bidding activity. Now about 90% of my winning bidders pay with PayPal. Yes, the fees aren't much fun, but with the price of gas neither is driving across the river to cash a check, or depositing it and waiting 3 days for it to clear.

Hi all,

Yea, it was me!!!!

I guess I have that dubious honor----

I would have taken paypal if it had gone higher, but not at $3.
It was listed on the ebay part of this forum...

Wags, I sympathize.

A materialistic society cannot afford credit, it will inevitably implode.
Life and success are a "do it yourself" thing

Don't feel bad wags.. it happens to all of us. It was a really rough week. I had a BU box of 2006-D zincers sell below face. I will probably end up paying PayPal fees as well as the eBay fees on that one.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Hi all,

Well, I felt bad about only making like .89c net on the whole thing, but then I started running my hands through the hundreds of wheats I've rescued from circulation- Cheered me up!
Always next time.

Yes, the wheats would cheer me up too. Or maybe a wild injun.

A few weeks ago, I won two auctions: both at $66 and that's including shipping - that was 1.32 X - and it's getting even lower. There's absolutely NO way I would sell ANY copper memorials right now. BUY BUY BUY
