I've been reading this forum for some time now and have posted in other sections before, but this is the first here. I went to my bank Friday to deposit my paycheck and a couple that was in front of me had a box of cwr pennies, $50. I started talking to them and found they have more at home and other coins, I gave them my name and phone #. I hope I get a call from them. My sister works at the bank and she had them in her line, I told her I wanted to buy the pennies. I normally don't buy pennies at that branch because she works there. I'll try to post a report after I sort them. I hand sort so I don't need the volume that some here do. I have found over the last month that I'm getting only cwr's from my bank. The volume of pennies being cashed in in this area is way up.
Today I went to the bank and several people from small business were there and they were talking about the amount of nickels that people were using to pay for items.

I'm so sick over pennies....I frequently trade a dime or two for the whole "take-a-penny" container if sufficient coppers exist. That will get you some odd looks. |
