One of my typical lunches is two McDonalds McChickens and a medium chocolate shake. $4.97. My favorite part is getting the three cents change. Now, at the packy, they would just take 3 cents out of the cent bucket and leave me hanging. But, McDonalds works by the book. When I get those three cents in hand, I can always tell by the weight whether or not I have scored a copper. This week, it was really heavy, and I knew I had hit paydirt - 2 of 3. Now, is that geeky or what?! I know all of you guys appreciate this, but just think - not many folks in America have the copper-sense (no pun intended) that we do. Such a thrill to get these jems from change. In my area, 20% copper is remarkable, unfortunately. I thought I'd share a happy Friday night post. Cheers!

I'm so sick over pennies....I frequently trade a dime or two for the whole "take-a-penny" container if sufficient coppers exist. That will get you some odd looks. |

I keep meaning to test this scientifically (double-blind trials and all). Informal testing yeilds various results.
Too many Fridays may be spoiling me! |

You must have some pretty sensitive fingers. I can tell when I have light or heavy boxes. I normally hump 4 boxes at a time under my arm and can tell the difference between 56 and 60 lbs. |
Beer is my currency. |
