I've had a few jams inside with the feeder wheel thingy with coins that were somehow adhesed together, but nothing as stubborn as the two coins that are jamming the machine at the moment. There are two pennies firmly stuck right on top of each other, and the wheel won't spin inside--it just sort of jerks back and forth and then stops until I turn off the power, jimmy the pennies as much as I can (which isn't really much) and then try again--but they're still not moving. I don't want to try to spin the wheel much at all with those pennies stuck in there, but I can't see a way to dislodge the pennies unless the wheel can move in some way. Any suggestions?

You might have to remove the coin cup (part with the brass inserts and springy stir device) from the lower cube hopper (drive assembly) Read your manual and it shows this in the "service bulletin" Then remove the wheel, by prying gently up on it, and remove the coins.

I had that problem a few times untill I changed the way I loaded my coins. Up until a few weeks ago I would keep about one handfull in the hopper and keep adding a handful when it got low. The machine would run real fast.

Then I experimented by putting on the hopper extension and keeping it full to the top. The machine slowed down but the jamming stopped. I thought this was great but after about a half hour it just shut down. Probably got too warm and turned itself off. I turned off the switch and let it sit a few minutes and turned it back on and it worked fine, but after a while it shut down again.

Now I keep the extension on but only fill the lower hopper to the top. I did all my cents sunday without a single problem in exactly one hour. That is 21,000 coins = 350 per minute. (I think Andy advertises only 300)

Something sounds wrong cyberdan... seems like it should not overheat like that.

That is just a guess and it only happens when I keep the extra hopper full all the time. Maybe that little wall wort transformer doesn't have enough amps. I have no trouble just keeping the main hopper full.

I hate when two pennies are actually stuck together!
It seems like this is a common thing for you, nickelless, and it is certainly a problem for me. Does anyone get one of these(two coins on top of eachother), at least every 1000 coins?

How about a nice lube bath for your machine. I do a complete lube every couple hundred dollars. Seems to work to me.

Deal

I'm so sick over pennies....I frequently trade a dime or two for the whole "take-a-penny" container if sufficient coppers exist. That will get you some odd looks.

I don't know if this was directed at me or nickelless, but for nickelless, I also reccomend that. If you were talking to me, that isn't the problem, it's like the coins are SUPERGLUED together every 1000 coins.

LOL I call emm "lunch pennies". I have pulled em apart and all mine seem to be stuck together with "jelly" like from a kids pbj sandwich. HATE em. 1 in the wheel and efficiency is cut like in half. I had 3 "doubles" in the wheel once.

Just last night I had the same thing. I was listening to the Ryedale and it was shooting out "4 pennies, skip, 4 pennies, skip". I unloaded the hopper and sure enough a sandwich. Couldn't even get them apart with my utility knife!!

When my wife got after me it sounded like "Blah,Blah,Blah", but now it sounds like "Clink,Clink,Clink". Its amazing what that Ryedale can do for a hounded husband.

It happens to me also. When the pennies are not coming out of the machine evenly and you are getting skips the two pennies stuck together is usually the cause. All you can do is empty the machine get the two that are stuck together out of there and start over again.

Maybe the "lunch pennies" are planted by Brinks much the same way the greentree nuts pound spikes into timber trees.
