Poll Question:
If the bill ever passes to audit the Fed, and that includes an audit of the United States gold reserves... what will they find when they open the doors to Fort Knox?

| I thought they moved most or all of the gold to the New York Fed vaults in NYC. |

From Wiki:
"The United States Bullion Depository, commonly called Fort Knox, is a fortified vault building located near Fort Knox, Kentucky, which is used to store a large portion of United States official gold reserves and, occasionally, other precious items belonging or entrusted to the federal government.
The United States Bullion Depository holds about 4,603 tons (4 176 metric tonnes) of gold bullion (147.4 million troy ounces[1]). It is second in the United States only to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's underground vault in Manhattan, which holds about 5,000 metric tonnes of gold in trust for many foreign nations, central banks and official international organizations." |

| So in theory our government has about 9,600 tons of gold, but a good deal of it is owned by other countries. So its probably there, its just a matter of what amount legally belongs to the US government. |

Humm, I think there is only one answer here that would be correct. All of the gold that is supposed to be there is. If its not there, then I imagine it's not supposed to be there (from their point of view). Sure am glad our government has this all under control for us, not exactly sure what I would do if they didn't control the things they do :)

| I am sure the paper exists to show where the gold is there. |
Awake, O kings of the earth! Come ye, O, come ye, with your gold and your silver, to the help of my people, to the house of the daughters of Zion, to the help of the people of the God of this Land even Jesus Christ. |

I voted "Some of the gold that''''s supposed to be there".
If they really had the gold I think they would be flaunting it more. It's so secretive...wt heck! We're so used to scandals now, even if news broke out about "missing gold", more than half the country would not care/ or even know about it. |

| the gold is there, but the govt or the fed has executed numerous derivatives that are the equivalent of selling it several times over. let the counterparties duke it out, lol. |

Of course, when it boils down to it, possession is 9/10ths the law. If TSHTF, you really think the government would hesitate to tell those countries that hold the paper for the physical to jump in the river. Or come get it. :) |

Yeah. Germany got wise and requested to have theirs back - we'll see if we give it to them. |

| Who cares? Gold in a bad investment! Worthless, at least that's what my CNBC friends tell me, except the occasional nutjob. |

Truth is funnier than fiction!
The gold conspiracy world is a buzz with recent articles from Rob Kirby about tungsten bars that were plated with gold. According to Kirby's sources 1.3M-1.5M these 400oz bars currently reside in Fort Knox as well as have been sold into the global gold markets over the past 15-20 years.
The article can be found here:
