Another wild night and another nice penny bag! Yes, that is right I was searching a $50 bag of loose pennies. The dimes were in darn near every scoop and the two silver ones made a nice bonus. I still can't get over how these get out the door!

Nice luck, didnt that amount of dimes show through the bag? Were you worried that they might have noticed and put the smackdown on that bag? Betcha some dime bags are gunna be short =) |

YES...it was obvious looking at the bag! I have stopped trying to figure out why and just keep on sorting.....

Hope you find a few more bags like that one. Congratulations! You are no part of a pretty exclusive club.. those that have found silver dimes in their penny sorts.
The way those get in there is counting machines that have not been properly maintained and are running a little sloppy. This is whey some members will not dump dimes in lobby counting machines. Somtimes the dimes get counted as a penny.  |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.
Let me see if I understand this? If you cross the North Korean border illegally, you get 12 years hard labor; the Iranian border illegally you are detained indefinitely. If you cross the US border illegally, you get a driver’s license, a social security card, welfare, food stamps, free health care!

| Most tellers would overlook something like this because the bank paid for the value of the pennies, not the dimes. If a few slip past, no loss. The only reason to hold these bags from a paying customer would be greed. It's probably not worth their effort. |

| I had a bag with three nickles, one dime, and one quarter. I thought that was a bit odd. Yesterday I went to a bank and asked for a loose bag of $50.00 in pennies. They said they could not sell loose pennies, but put $50.00 in rolls into a fairly new bank bag big enough to use as a body bag. The bag was from another bank. They were giving away someone else's bag. But, I am happy. Not quite sure what to do with it. Any suggestions? |
