I've been doing silver and gold since 2003 and got bored with it (and besides, it's getting pricey). Copper is fun for me, I'm gonna try for a $5,000 hoard and then double my target once I reach it if finances permit. Just have to figure out where to keep it.
My Dad used to pull IHP's when he was little...so I pulled the wheats when I was little through his change.... then I pulled copper pennies out of my change after the mint switched metals. But now for about 2 months I actually go to the bank to get boxes to pull Cu pennies.
Hey, $300 is quite a bit (okay, other people in here have bigger bragging rights) but the general public? I'll bet you have more CU saved than 99.9999999% of the world population. That list would be over six billion long, and you must be in the top one thousand. And the question referred to setting a big goal, not how far along you are so far.
I started hand sorting in March 2008. Then I got serious and bought a ryedale in June 2009. I joined the forum several weeks ago, but this is my first post. Enjoy reading all the comments on the site.
