I have been putting sorting on the back burner because it is hard to find a place close to dump my zincs but today I am glad I decided to pick up a couple of boxes. Had an extra $20. so ask for CWR. The teller said she had a lot from on old gentleman and how many did I want she had 55 rolls. WOW! OH DOUBLE WOW! They were all copper and wheats. 55 rolls of solid CU. Several are bank rolled and looked to be uncirculated 1970-1974. Should I open them? Some the date is not showing. 5 were solid wheats. I have not looked through them all just a few rolls so not sure what else I will find, hope something really good. I have not had very good luck lately. I am lucky to find 1 or 2 wheats, no Canadian and usually 20% CU per box. Today, I am excited again.

Everyone have a GOOD DAY!!!!
HAPPY HUNTING

Thanks! Haven't found anything really exciting except lots and lots of wheats! And nice clean CU, something that is uncommon around my area.

Yes, it does and the funny thing is I know this man. He lives in the little town where my kids went to school and was a teacher. Sure wished I would have known he was getting rid of them. The teller said he had several buckets of them. Boo Hoo She is checking to see if they have more of them somewhere. No call yet but maybe.

It is always fun when you find a nice stash of wheat pennies! I agree, it does keep you going through those inevitable dry spells.

You got over a box of Cu and didn't have to sort, very nice. What is the date range of the wheats?

I have not looked through them all yet. The teller called and said she found 60 more rolls so I RUSHED back to get them. The wheats are between 1936-1974. Several rolls of 1973 Fed rolled. Sure was hoping to find some really old one like an IH or 1909, dream on huh. Still over TWO boxes of solid CU is fine with me.

Thanks! Just finished and ended up with 786 Wheats for the 115 rolls. Pretty good for me as I usually only get 8 or 10 a box. Would love to find many more of rolls like these.

Congratulations. Looks like the Copper Santa came early this year.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Let me see if I understand this? If you cross the North Korean border illegally, you get 12 years hard labor; the Iranian border illegally you are detained indefinitely. If you cross the US border illegally, you get a driver’s license, a social security card, welfare, food stamps, free health care!
