I sure did.Voting is every citizens Duty and Right. Everyone complains but does everyone vote? IMHO if more people voted there could be more than just the 2 big partys, maybe we could even get some real change. |

| Yeah, but it was just local stuff, no state races. There was hardly anyone at the polls. |

| Nothing to vote on. And you'd think more people would show up since more are unemployed. |

| Before I was married I thought I was doing my civic duty by voting every two years, but now my wife insists that we vote in every election and primary. The frustrating thing about local elections is the complete lack of information about the candidates involved. I, therefore, get to vote for a candidate based on their party affiliation and how well-designed their campaign signs are. I think next year I'm going to make it a point to find out as much about the candidates as possible. Considering how things are I don't think we can continue to afford the luxury of voting for the local politicians with the most campaign signs. |

| I voted, but it was kinda depressing. There weren't any third parties on the ballot. Those bailouts have been hard to forgive, and I don't trust Republicans OR Democrats with money right now. |

Just local issues here too. Of course I voted NO on a millage increase. I got out voted a few years ago last time they needed a millage increase. I'll probably get out voted again by these stupid sheeple.

I always vote when I get the chance. I figure that if you don't vote you can't complain about who ever is elected. Its as simple as that. Our PM had his head some far up Bush's backside & now his is doing it to Obama. |
Nice. Yes. Very nice. |

| No I did not vote. They only held mail in votes here this round. and it was only for 2 offices. Mayor and for a city council member and they ran unopposed so I did not vote. however here I voted "No, what difference would it have made?" |

Nothing to vote on here in my city/county.
Regarding the above. Every time I read something like this it takes me back to when we had our tackle store and we were voting in our county to increase the sales tax from 5 cents to 6 cents. We used to joke and call our tackle store a non-alcoholic bar as we had lots of regulars that would show up to chat and solve world problems. We would get so frustrated trying to convince people that were in favor of the sales tax that a 20% increase was just too much.
The people that were in favor of the increase truly believed that it was only a one percent increase in their taxes because it was only one penny!!! Argh!!! No wonder we are in the situation we are today. |

| I voted for casino's in Ohio. We need the jobs and tax money. There will not be a casino within 60 miles of me, so, I won't even see them. |

The casino here will be pointless. There is a brand new billion dollar casino built in indiana just 20 minutes away and the area is very nice. The new proposed casino will be a "$250million" casino and right in the crime district.(Also about 20 minutes away) I can tell you now which I'd go to if I gambled......
Our county had many proposed tax increases that all passed...I dont live in the city, but taxes passed there too.... The libraries...if the levy didnt pass for them, they would cut half the branches. To me the library should be like netflix or blockbuster. You pay a monthly fee to use them. There is a not a library convienient to me and it is cheaper to buy or rent my books/dvd's than to go to the library. So I dont use the library, why should I pay for it? Why does the library have DVD's anyway? Seems like that is an awful big expense to offer DVD's. |
