After messing around with the counters today( see other thread ) I ran my zinc accept rejects from a $25 box through on a Copper accept.

1st reject - 1943 D

A few 1941's then a 1943 P

I have only found 4 steel pennies since I have been sorting and that is well over 1 million coins. I think that I have found more IH's than Steel pennies. I thought that the armored car services and the bank lobby coin machines had magnets in them to remove the steel pennies.

You don't have to be the BEST you just have to be.......SLICK

Good for you. I don't think I have ever so much as touched a steel penny.

Just my two cents!

Found a Copper plated '43P in a Brinks roll today.
Real nice (good detail in the Wheat stalks and Lincoln's hair) except for a bubble of rust about smack dab in the middle of the reverse under the Cu plate.
1st '43 for me this year.

There's profit if you melt things!!
