Like the title says, and why or why not do you do it.

I don't unless they are in AU-MS condition. Numismatic value is typically pretty low.
Plus I already have 50's-60's collection in AU/MS condition.

I keep a few of those dates just in case someone would need one for a hole in their book

I keep the perfect, brilliant and barely circulated specimens from 59'-70'. The slightest wear, tarnish, or any other imperfection goes in with the junk coppers. I have one roll of each year and mintmark (except S-mints) from 59'-82' in this type of BU condition that i've put together over the past year or so.

I don't take the time to sort them out by the years.

Wheats go in one pile, Coppers in another, Uncirculated Wheats in another and Uncirculated coppers in another.

There are enough old ones around thatI don't hang onto them.

APMEX recently had a sale and I bought a roll of 59, 61, 63 and 64 uncirculated for less than $2 each roll.

I don't have a plan for them except to offer them to kids if they want to start collecting coins.

I toss them into the current Cu container.
Every Cu will be numismatically resorted prior to exit!
