Am I the only one who has noticed the news has become very shallow in the past three to four months.
Last year I was easily able to tell what was going on around the world. Hot spots like Iran, Indonesia, Zimbabwe, Somalia, Columbia that were big in the news last year have been replaced with teachers having sex with students, where the Obama had his hair done, and what is in the White House Garden.
It is like the only thing the media is feeding the public are fluff stories. Gold breaks a new record high, but all the media talks about is how well the DOW is doing.

| Tabloid journalism/entertainment gets good ratings. Intelligent reporting and analysis is uninteresting to the soap opra/Joe 6-packs. |

Lemon Thrower would you be so kind as to list some of the computer sites that have "news"--the more accurate, in depth reporting. I'm not sure where to look but no doubt you have some favorites. Would you share a couple? Thanks--this "old lady" would like some TRUTH before they send me to the nursing home!!LOL Copper Cane |

It seems if one includes too many links in a post one gets warned they will be flagged as a spammer and the post won't show...

The Russians seem to do a better job of reporting what is going on in the USSA than the Amerikan media.

| You mean the world goes on beyond what CNN, NBC and CBS report? |
Awake, O kings of the earth! Come ye, O, come ye, with your gold and your silver, to the help of my people, to the house of the daughters of Zion, to the help of the people of the God of this Land even Jesus Christ. |

Most news is really entertainment. Just tune into the Today show to see a good example as the entire cast of hams trys to outdo each other for the spotlight. But at least they no longer have little miss "It's all about me!" anymore............the network gave her the nightly news instead. |
