I was sorting tonight and found what I think is an error penny.

On the reverse, you can see the inprint of a penny on the lower end of the penny. You can see the imprint of ONE but it is upside down.

Any insight on this error or what its value is?

Thanks

Might be from putting 2 pennies together in a vice.

Looks like post mint damage to me. Which means its not an error coin.

If the impressed letters are incused (set in, not raised) and backwards, then it's from a so-called "squeeze job"- two coins hammered or vised together.

Exactly...people get bored at work. So they see what they can squeeze together

I actually took it to a coin store and they think it is a true error.

I have to investigate further; I will let you know.

This could be a brockage error. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brockage

Do you think its worth having it sent to be graded? That costs around $25 or so right?
